I posted my earlier blog too soon!

Cha Cha's at it again. As I was reading follow up comments to my previous blog, (see earlier post on Wild Kingdom) I heard Cha Cha scrambling in the kitchen. I left the computer to check on him and he was "guarding" the refrigerator. A moment later, Titi jumped off the futon and ran into the kitchen. I heard a squeak. Dreading what I would find, I ventured back into the kitchen and found this:

There's a field behind my house and a pasture across the street. Prime hunting ground for a feline on the prowl.

Thank God, Titi is such a got mouser and now...a great rat killer!

 Shiver.....

  1. Oh my! Reminds me of the time my daughter's cat awakened her from a sound sleep by standing on her chest with a mouse dangling from her mouth. I told my daughter the cat just wanted her to see what a GOOD KITTY she was. ;-)

  2. Talk about a waking nightmare! But maybe Cha Cha will do this to my daughter and she'll realize what a beast this cat is...when he's not being soft and cuddly...

  4. I'm starting to think the cat hates me! But at least my dog loves me. And yes, Mona, she does deserve a treat.

  5. The cat doesn't hate you. He is doing what comes naturally to him. I adore Cats! My favorite was named Mule. That's right, I said Mule. My Husband named him Mule because he sounded like a mule walking across the floor-CLOMP,CLOMP,CLOMP. Mule would bring any mouse to have the misfortune to come into our house to the coffee table in the living room. I guess that was his present to us, but I sure didn't like him bringing the mouse into the living room. Mule lived with us for 16 years. Also we had two cats with no tail named Honey and Harley by my husband. They gave us many hours of enjoyment. We also had a wire-haired terrier named Susie that was a joy to us and to me after my husband died. Susie died two years ago.
Lilly, I enjoyed reading the posts about Cha Cha and Titi.

  6. Becky, Cha Cha clomps too. But he's a huge, black stalking hunter so he's more of a panther than a mule. But I love the originality of the Mule's name. Too cute!
